Interrail trip has been my long time dream. I was always too old and over the youngster’s age limit. Now I am old enough to buy a senior pass. I will travel alone, but meet friends and on the way, and finally Pekka my husband in Lisbon. A friend’s birthday will be celebrated there,too. Really looking forward to meet so many old friends and hope to find some new ones, too.
Plans for the first days are:
Viking Line to Stockholm is a nice way to start the journey. After a well slept night, train from Stockholm Central station to Malmö.Crossing the Öresund from Malmö to Kobenhavn towards Silkeborg and a penfried from my teen years in Jylland.From Jylland towards Celle and meeting friends from the sixties in Wathlingen. After that I should decide if I take the eastern route via Switzerland and Barcelona towards Madrid or the western route via Antwerpen Bordeaux- Biarritz- Burgos- Madrid. In Madrid meeting a niece. Finally the night train from Madrid to Lisbon. That book Night train to Lisbon was actually where I did get this idea.
EUn passi taskussa on hyvä tehdä matkaa. With EU passport in pocket it is nice to travel.

Wiehauser is a beautiful small village near Celle. Within a monastery there is a small popular hotel that is fully booked for years , those who have found it use it during the Hannover fair.
